fibtec-etlgen Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 October 2026

These terms govern use of fibtec-etlgen (“ETL Integrator”), a product of Fibtec Limited (“Fibtec”, “we”, “us”), by any organisation or individual that creates an account (“you”). By creating an account or using fibtec-etlgen, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the organisation you represent.

1. What fibtec-etlgen is — and isn’t

fibtec-etlgen generates ETL (extract-transform-load) code from a sample of your source and destination data formats, using AI models. The code we generate is a starting point, not a guarantee. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any generated code before relying on it, especially before using it against production data or systems.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process whatever sample data you upload to the product — see our Privacy Policy §3 for why this matters even though we don’t retain what you upload.

2. Your account and organisation

  • Signing up with an email address and password at a given company domain for the first time makes you the Owner of a new organisation on fibtec-etlgen. Every subsequent person who signs up with an email at that same domain joins the same organisation. Free and consumer email providers are not accepted for this route.
  • Google sign-in is accepted for any Google account, company or personal. If you have no fibtec-etlgen account yet, signing in with Google creates one: with a company address you join the organisation of that email domain (or start it), and with a personal address (for example gmail.com) you get an organisation of your own.
  • You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
  • An API key is a credential: whoever holds it can make calls, within its scopes, that may spend your organisation’s credit. You are responsible for keeping your keys confidential and for every call made with them, and you can revoke a key at any time from the API keys page.
  • We reserve the right to decline or terminate an account that we believe in good faith is being used fraudulently, abusively, or in violation of these terms.

3. Fees and the free plan

  • fibtec-etlgen is billed on a pay-as-you-go credit basis for paid organisations: your organisation purchases credit, and code generation draws down against that balance at the rates shown in the product at the time of use. Pricing may change; we’ll show the current rate before any action that spends credit.
  • New organisations start on a free plan with a limited monthly request quota and restricted to our smaller AI model, described in the product itself. We may change the specifics of the free plan going forward.
  • Purchased credit is non-refundable once spent, and we do not guarantee any particular exchange rate on credit bundles beyond what’s shown at the time of purchase.
  • Payment is processed by Stripe; by making a payment you also agree to Stripe’s own terms for that transaction.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use fibtec-etlgen to:

  • Upload or process sample data you do not have the right to process, including personal data you are not authorised to share with a third-party AI provider;
  • Attempt to circumvent, probe, or interfere with fibtec-etlgen’s security, including its authentication, rate limits and API-key scopes;
  • Use the service to generate code intended to cause harm, bypass security controls, or violate any applicable law;
  • Resell or provide fibtec-etlgen’s service to a third party as your own offering, without our separate written agreement.

5. Zero data retention — what it means and its limits

As described in our Privacy Policy §1, the sample data you upload and the code we generate from it are not stored by fibtec-etlgen beyond the single request that produces them. This is an architectural property of the system, not a manual process we might forget to follow.

This guarantee covers storage, not the AI processing itself: your sample content is necessarily sent to our AI provider to generate your code (Privacy Policy §4), and that provider’s own data handling for that one call is governed by their own terms, not ours. fibtec-etlgen does not run the code it generates (Privacy Policy §1).

6. AI generation — what to know

Code generation is performed using third-party AI models (Anthropic’s Claude models). AI-generated code is produced by a language model and, like any such system, can be incorrect, incomplete, or reflect the model’s own limitations. You are responsible for reviewing generated code before relying on it for any consequential use, including before deploying it against production data or systems — see §1.

7. Optional GitHub integration

If you connect a GitHub account to deliver generated code as a pull request, you authorise fibtec-etlgen to open that pull request in the repository you choose, using the GitHub App installation you control. You can revoke this access at any time from your GitHub account settings. See our Privacy Policy §5 for what we store about this connection (very little).

8. Data retention and deletion

As described in our Privacy Policy §8, we retain account and organisation metadata, including a content-free record of each job and of each API key (but not the content you process — see §5 above), for as long as your organisation’s account exists. We do not currently offer a self-service deletion option through the product; contact us at info@fibtec.co.uk to request deletion of your organisation’s account data.

9. Service availability

We aim to keep fibtec-etlgen available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and fibtec-etlgen is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, about the service’s fitness for a particular purpose or the accuracy of AI-generated content.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fibtec’s total liability to you arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of fibtec-etlgen will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including from your use of AI-generated code — see §6. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud).

11. Intellectual property

fibtec-etlgen’s software and platform remain Fibtec’s property. You retain ownership of the sample data and schemas you upload and the code generated for you; we claim no ownership over either, and do not retain a copy of either once your job completes (§5).

12. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time; your organisation’s remaining credit balance is non-refundable on termination unless required otherwise by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including §5, §8, §10, and §11) continue to apply.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and make reasonable efforts to notify account holders of material changes before they take effect.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, matching Fibtec Limited’s own registration.
